Five Colour Friday and more

For what it’s worth – August has been an interesting month. Frankly, the thought of blogging has been furthest from my mind – and the month ‘off’ has done me good. Sometimes ‘life’ just has to take over. I won’t bore you with all the details, but the above picture will give you an idea of how the month began – and, in truth, it’s been hard to get through it since. However, there has been crochet to compensate, and, as it’s the last Friday of the month, Five Colour Friday must put in an appearance,

Some of the month was spent feeding a neighbour’s cat. There’s nothing like an animal to take your mind off things, is there…

I’ve also tried to get out for a walk as often as possible. Fortunately it’s been dry, and on the warmer days I’ve left it until evening.

There’s been more, but I think we should now turn our attention to the main purpose of this post! This square represents the end of Summer, and looks towards Autumn. Can it really be September next week?

I really felt the need for ‘bright and cheerful’. Yellow does lift the spirit.

The list for 120 different squares using just five colours can be found here

More colour combinations can be found here

These are all Stylecraft Special DK.

I will be blogging again soon. I have a couple of blankets to show you, a new yarn, and more. Last month’s colours had hardly any views – I’m guessing that you were all on holiday! VIEW IT HERE if you missed it

I think life got in the way for a lot of us. I can’t believe it’s September next week either – where has this year gone ???? Yes, animals definitely take your mind off a lot of hoo haa that may be happening in your life. Alfie and Rocky are both off for operations tomorrow – Rocky to get some plaque scraped off his teeth (so strange that his teeth are so bad and Rusty’s are so good given they eat the same food and greenie treats) and Alfie is having some more skin cancer cut out of his stomach. They are getting to the point where he doesn’t have much skin left to try to cut out so I’m not sure if they are going to be able to do this operation again. I think he has already had tummy skin cancers cut out on 5 or 6 different occasions. I guess this is what happens when you are an albino.
Take care and stay safe xox
