The squares for the Spirit of October are complete – apart from the ends, of course.
The joining has begun, and it won’t be too long before I can start on the border.
I tried to take a photo, but it’s a very dull day! I’ll be working on it again tomorrow.
Come back tomorrow and I’ll tell you about my ‘secret’ project. It won’t be finished any time soon, but I did promise to tell you once October was finshed.
Here we are in November. October was an interesting month for us, a visit to Edinburgh wasn’t planned until almost the last minute, and ran hot on the heels of our cruise. We have no plans for travel now until next year – but who knows where fancy might take us if my other half has a moment of travel inspiration. It won’t be too far away from home, though, of that I’m sure.
The next couple of months are busy. Crochet may well have to take a back seat, although I should get a little done each evening if all is well. It’s always good to see the colours of the month together, and here is the October block of the Temperature blanket, showing rather well co-ordinated colours I think, do you agree?
This will need edging (as will all the other blocks) once November is finished. I have yet to make a start on that, though, as I’m trying to finish the October Spirit blanket. The small November squares won’t take long to finish – I’ll do them this weekend.
So; the Spirit of October is about a third of the way to being finished. I’ve returned to large blocks for this blanket, and they are taking a long time to complete.
The colours are lovely and gentle so I’m looking forward to finishing it. November has been misty and chillier, already different colours! I wonder what the next few days will bring.
Another month – another Spirit blanket. Yes, I’ve started the one for October.
I haven’t done much so far – other things keep getting in the way. However, it feels amazing to be on the penultimate Spirit blanket. I didn’t expect to get this far. Next month will see the end of this project (apart from all the finishing off, that is) but it has been inspirational in so many ways that I may have to continue in some shape or form.
Tomorrow evening I’m meeting with a few friends for the first of a series of yarny socials. I’m looking forward to that. I wonder how much chatting there will be? And how much crochet……..?
