So, here we are at spring! The blossom is in full flow, and the blue skies are an encouraging promise of better days to come.
That’s ignoring the Brexit issue, but leaping straight into the mess that is the Brexit Blanket
And what a mess, too! What began as a straightforward process has become a random collection of squares denoting my interpretation of the negotiations and more so far. The theory was that day 100 (today) would see the beginning of the edging, but …
There are squares covering all aspects, including Remainers, Brexiteers and every other opinion in between. The so called Irish problem is there, and the helpful, and not so helpful, comments and steps by certain Europeans.
So, what now? I have an idea, but I’d also love to hear your opinion. Shall I continue? Call it a day? At the moment I’m waiting until this evening to decide. Maybe there will be a miracle…..?
Well, hope as we might that word that everyone hates just won’t go away!

.. and perfectly timed for Christmas. This granny square blanket has been quietly growing while other things went on.
I’m really pleased with it – the dark grey really makes the colours pop, but isn’t as harsh as black. Today another blanket begins. As before it will be a square a day for 100 days, but this time the squares will serve a dual purpose. Continue reading “Finished ..”
