There has been a dearth of posts during July. You probably haven’t noticed, but heat and more have meant very little crochet. However, daily squares are on schedule, and I will soon have something to show you. Before reading further though, I warn you that you may need sunglasses at some point! It is only a short post.
What a hot month we have had! So far there have been two new colour introductions for the 2022 Temperature Blanket.
Bright Pink and Burgundy were both colours I honestly didn’t expect to appear but were needed for 18th and 19th July respectively. It was a record-breaking time all over the country with disastrous outcomes for some people. We managed to stay cool-ish. We even had a couple of ‘siestas’! Very continental!!
My #simplythirtysquares for July has continued the stashbusting theme. It’s on schedule so you will hopefully see it finished by the end of the month.
This image shows a random selection of squares, you’ll have to wait until the end of the month to see more. If you are like me there are several colours that are very useful to have ‘in supply’ and the above illustrates this well (details will follow when it’s finished) but … sometimes mistakes are made!
I still can’t work out why I have 5 balls of Jaffa hidden in plain sight!
The time has come to use it. But how? I’ll show you a couple of ideas at the end of the week. How do you feel about a colour this bright? Personally I love it, but I probably wouldn’t wear it. 🤔
All above yarns were purchased from The Knitting Network.
I’m determined to get back to the #granception blanket this week. I think the pattern is due to be released very soon. I must finish at least another ‘tester’ block before that if at all possible.
Here is my completed quarter again as a reminder
Back soon. Nothing for ages – then several all at once!
