Scraps can accumulate! It seems that as fast as you try to use them – more are made and added to the collection! The daily July squares were intended to use some of these – and to prove that I had plenty a different colour was featured in each square!

Each ‘scrap’ colour took approximately 5 metres (approximately 5.5 yards) and was combined with two useful staples.
- Stylecraft Special DK in Denim
- Hayfield Bonus DK in Denim Marl.
Denim used almost 2 balls (30g left over)
Hayfield Bonus DK used a little more – A third ball was needed for just the final border.

There was no real plan for the colour placement. Whichever ball happened to roll out closest to me was the one I chose. It was obviously a lazy month,

I still have a good supply of scraps, so I’ll have to come up with something else in the near future. Not next month, however, as I will need something very easy and portable for my #simplythirtysquares.

This month the extra day (31, not 30) gave time for a less frenetic approach to the border! It’s still small, but it was more leisured in its making!

So I’m still on target for a blanket a month made in this fashion. You can FIND OUT MORE VIA THIS LINK

Another project starts tomorrow – if you want to join in ALL DETAILS ARE HERE where you will also find links to previous projects made in a similar manner.
I like how the scraps make each square different!

Thank you. It’s seen to a bit of my Denim too. I may try another in a month or two.
