Five Colour Friday

The last Five Colour Friday of the year! And what a year it’s been! It’s another year to be remembered for the wrong reasons, but also a year when we have had time to spend with our great-grandson and get to know him. It’s certainly a way to look forward to the future. Our grandchildren are growing up and it a privilege to see them becoming more and more mature as the months go by. What a blessing.

What will your lasting memories be of 2021?

Now on to yarn! I’ve chosen a lovely yarn – Studio DK by the late Deramores which is full of soft smooth squishiness. It glides through fingers a little like silk, and I heartily recommend it if you haven’t already tried it. It’s available from LOVECRAFTS

I have a few ideas in my head for using these colours but for the purpose of this post have stuck with granny squares. As usual (hence the title!) there are five!

They are loosely based on peacock colours but the outer round of green gives a fresh finish.

Here is the list

All colours DERAMORES STUDIO DK

  • Aubergine
  • Malachite
  • Jade
  • Aqua Green
  • Peridot

I really like this yarn, and have set aside some other colours for my daily blanket starting tomorrow. More about that once it’s started.

I did manage to complete the December project – not yet blocked but here it is.

More details of this in YESTERDAY’S POST

Thank you all for following along and taking the time to read my posts. There will be an update of the Temperature Blanket very soon, possibly over the weekend. Still two squares to complete – but we are on target! Joining and finishing will definitely be next month …

Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and blessed 2022. And enough yarn to crochet all you want.

120 squares?
