An update and Dolly!

There’s nothing like a few days in the country to blow away the cobwebs. We’ve just returned from a lovely, although short, visit to some old haunts. A time of R and R to make headspace for lots of new projects and more.

Blues in Twos is still progressing. I had thought that I might finish the squares while I was away, but crochet was at a minimum! I managed my daily #crochet6in366 … but that was it! So this is still a work in progress, but it won’t be long unless it becomes too hot to crochet!

So another project was finally decided. It didn’t really need much headspace, but even that small amount wasn’t available until our break. Above are the original colours, and it was intended to join them with white or cream. However, the result, although pretty, was very pale, and rather uninteresting. It wasn’t at all suited to its intended purpose, so the white has been replaced with …

… Fiesta! Definitely not pale and uninteresting, although probably not suited to everyone’s taste.

So here are the final colours as decided.

Stylecraft Special DK
  • Fondant
  • Raspberry
  • Powder Pink
  • Magenta
  • Wisteria
  • Duck Egg
  • Sherbet
  • Spring Green
  • Citron
  • Buttermilk
  • Vintage Peach
  • Blush
  • And, of course, Fiesta

I’m not sure how many balls of Fiesta I will need until I get started, but one ball of everything else should be enough.

Two more blankets are in my head now, too, but they must wait until Blues in Twos and Dolly Mixtures are finished.
