I’ve been thinking a lot about my yarn collection. I confess that I have a lot. But does it count as ‘stash’?

That ‘s’ word really ‘bothers’ me. Here’s a definition (found online for ease).

All my yarn is visible. There’s no hiding it in our small cottage.

As far as possible I try to colour coordinate the yarn

But it doesn’t always work!

I prefer to call my collection my ‘Yarn Vocabulary’. Without a collection of colours I cannot make a ‘statement’ or express emotions within my creation. This may seem superfluous but no combination is a complete accident.

I often leave yarns in ‘group considerations’. They are awaiting an ‘audition’, or ‘deletion’ as in editing a story.
