‘Something’ each day is a good creative habit.

Currently I’ve been on a mission to create a granny square each day.

Making a small square doesn’t take long and fits in between other projects.

Sometimes it’s a moment of special joy when unexpected colours gel, or give relief from another tedious occupation.

Most are made from scraps left by a larger project

This is certainly true of the squares shown here.
Eventually, again between other projects, there are enough to join together and slowly they become a blanket.

This is now in the progress pile – and I hope to complete it before the end of the week.

Other than crocheting and writing in a gratitude journal – no. Those are my two ‘must do’ things – and for the most part, I manage to get them done each day. There was a day a little while ago when I didn’t crochet at all and it just felt wrong but I also knew that I couldn’t crochet anything that day as I would have had to frog it the next – I was not in a good head space that day.
Take care and stay safe xox
