Five Colour Friday.

Another month draws towards it’s end. So close – yet so far away from Lockdown end! I’m looking forward to seeing some of the family after the weekend – presuming things go the way that’s been suggested. ‘Hope’ hasn’t flown out of the window.

So; the last Friday of the month must mean Five Colour Friday! I see that there are all sorts of posts about 5 colours now – but it originated on Facebook years ago and was continued on my shop website until we closed, and then on here. Anyone remember the first ones? They were set as a challenge for ANY medium! Those were the days!!

The garden is just beginning wake up in earnest. Primroses and polyanthus are in full flower along with hyacinths. These colours remind me of them – and also of the Chionodoxa which is tiny but always makes a good ‘show’. There had also been a preponderance of grey/blue skies this week.

The colours are warm and cosy – there is still that chill in the air, even though the clocks spring forward on Saturday.

All the yarns are from the Stylecraft Special DK collection

You may have already guessed the colours.

  1. Raspberry
  2. Shrimp
  3. Storm Blue
  4. Lavender
  5. Vintage Peach

As I constantly remind everyone – there are 120 DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS FOR FIVE COLOURS. That link will take you to a printable list.

More five colour collections CAN BE FOUND HERE

I’m thinking that these colours would make a GOOD JUMPER too!

Have a great weekend. There may even be another post from me! Take care.
