Five Colour Friday

Sometimes my choices for these posts are inspired by something I’ve seen and admired. Sometimes it’s a corner of the garden that’s just coming into bloom, or a view from the window of a car or train, but there isn’t much garden inspiration around this month, and travelling any sort of distance by car (definitely no trains) is actively discouraged. So .. I have to admit that these colours came about by accident when I was sorting for my Friendship Blanket (see previous posts).

I had put all my scrap yarn balls neatly away only to discover that a few had rolled under the chair. There were exactly five, so this square was born.

  1. Powder Pink
  2. Raspberry
  3. Shrimp
  4. Storm Blue
  5. Lavender

All colours are Stylecraft Special DK which I purchased from DERAMORES

As mentioned before, five colours will give 120 different combinations. Use the chart linked below and use the numbers 1-5 above to denote your yarns.

These colours are not only suited to Granny Squares but could be used for any stitch or pattern.

    1. Thanks for pointing this out Linda. I have made a change to the current Five Colour Friday post. You should be able to download the pdf from there. Let me know if you still have a problem.
