Friendship – continued.

Did you think I’d given up? I haven’t but today is the first day I’ve been able to take a suitable photograph! It’s been so dull and dreary for so much of the time. There is only one room that gets good morning light – I made use of it today…

Number 3

The squares were finished and the joining began. I chose black, a mistake in winter!

No – it isn’t grey – it’s actually black!

I chose a black yarn I haven’t used before. Although classed as a DK it’s actually slightly thicker than the one I’m used to – so instead of edging each square in the usual way I used two trebles instead of three. It was easy to weave ends in as I went along, until I started joining that is, because it was IMPOSSIBLE to finish the joining ends.

So I started on the border. I’ve reverted to blocks of three trebles for this, and it’s still a work in progress. However, today’s weather makes me believe that I will be able to finish it completely before too long. Progress has been further hampered by the need for another change of meds. It doesn’t take much to make anyone feel out of sorts.

So, As you may have read here, I called for friends once more and had a lovely response.

This will be a slow Friendship Blanket, firstly because the squares are much smaller, but also because I have other things ‘on the go’ too.

At the end of the week I’ll be posting the Five Colour Friday for February. Click the link to see one from the past!

I’ll be giving you an update on the Temperature Blanket soon too. We certainly went from the lows to the highs this week!

How does that rhyme go again?

Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot -
We’ll weather the weather,
Whatever the weather!
Whether we like it or not!!!

    1. Thankfully it’s only small. I have to admit that all blankets I’ve edged with black have taken absolutely A G E S to finish – but have been well received in the end! You think I’d’learn’ wouldn’t you 🤣
