This would normally appear on the last Friday of the month, but as that will be Christmas Day I’m bringing it forward.
I think we have all seen enough of 2020. It’s been a year of sadness, disappointment and shattered dreams for so many people throughout the world.

For the first time I have chosen yarns from several manufacturers. One, to my knowledge, is only available from one source, and that is online but the others can be found in many local shops and also online.

The outer yarn, known not only by the exotic 0987, but also by the name ‘Starling’ lifts the others out of the misery of 2020 and into the hope that must be 2021 by echoing the darker colours in its flecks, and predominating them with the promise of light.
Too romantic for the description of a Granny Square? I don’t think so …

It’s always good to get an impression of what blocks might look like together in quantity.

As always – please let me know if you use these colours in a project. It’s always helpful to know that posts are actually read! 😉

- Hayfield Bonus DK Starling 0987
- Stylecraft Special DK Petrol
- Stylecraft Special DK Mocha
- Stylecraft Special DK Spearmint
- Deramores Studio DK Smoke
All these yarns can be purchased from Deramores.
The next post in this series will be published in January.

I love seeing the colours you choose to put together abs it does sometimes give me ideas because I am mot that great at mixing colours.
Your posts are definitely read by me.

Thank you Linda. Colour can be very exciting, even with relatively boring colours. We all have preferences, don’t we. Good to have an open mind 😊
