So, a glimpse of my ‘before crochet’ life! Until health problems reared their ugly head in our household I had a very successful textile supply business, selling mostly my owns hand dyed bits and bobs. We could be seen at all the big shows around the country, and I know that we have met some of you at workshops etc. You may have seen the rest of this on another blog here, but I want as many people as possible to see it, so please read on and pass the word!
‘The time has come’ – and it isn’t only the walrus that is saying that… The time has come to dispose of ALL my hand dyed stock. If you are interested in table sales at your group, filling a basket on your counter or adding to your inspirational threads etc, now is the time to do it.
I’ve just found these. Squirrelled away in a safe place, now is the time to dispose of them.
Usually sold in packs of 4 for £1.50 these silk carrier rods are really useful for textural work, or just for adding interest. A whole workshop could be taught on them, and that’s what I used to do.
- Breaking each one down into layers
- Turning one into silk thread for stitching
- Moulding for jewellery
- Adding to stitching for texture
- Using in artwork or even your journals
- Incorporate into weaving
- Lots more uses
They really are versatile. Just some of them shown above!
Now selling at £5.00 for 25 plus postage, or the whole stock for £50.00 plus postage. Leave a comment if you’re interested. Payment via BACS or PayPal.
Other items available all at bargain prices, I’ll be posting more in the days to come. Just get in touch if you can’t wait that long!
